FAQ
1.1 About the Website
a. SIMPLYCHRISTIANS.NET is the work of the Woodlands church of Christ. The Webmaster is Don Hooton. If you have any questions about this FAQ or anything on the website, please contact the webmaster.
1.2 About BIBLETALK LIVE
a. It is our goal with BIBLETALK LIVE to create a calm, polite and genuine discussion environment for everyone. Everyone needs to talk openly about the Bible and what the Bible teaches. It is good for us to counter and discuss, maybe even argue once in a while if learning and applying the Truth of God is our goal. However, we will maintain several policies about decorum in order to allow everyone the security of open discussion.
b. Godly Decorum is expected. Private discussion can continue after the chat hour ends through personal email correspondence. However, the chatroom is intended to be a public round table discussion for people seeking truth. Hence,
1. Inappropriate expletives will permanently remove anyone from the chat room.
2. Wrangling and name-calling will permanently remove anyone from the chat room.
3. Including private email correspondence as part of the discussion will permanently remove anyone from the chat room.
c. Based on demand, chatroom hours may lengthen or its frequency may increase.
d. Scriptures are permitted by referencing, "Acts 2:38" or "Peter said, Repent and be baptized . . . ." (Acts 2:38). However, lengthy Bible quotations are not permitted. It is a discussion - not a reading. We encourage everyone to come with Bible open and ready to read. But the rule is to discuss the Bible text in the chatroom window instead of making everyone read the Bible text in the window.
e. Subjects are limited only by what the Bible addresses. If the subject shifts to what the Moderator considers inappropriate, the participant will be reminded once. If the participant continues, he/she will be removed for that day. If the participant is removed for more than three days in any sequence, he/she will be removed permanently from the chatroom.
1.3 About BIBLEePOINTS
a. BIBLEePOINTS is only transmitted electronically. It will be sent only to those who have requested it or who have been included by an ePOINTS subscriber. If you wish to be removed, simply contact the webmaster.
1.4 About BIBLEeCOURSES
a. The webmaster will continually add online Bible courses to the web-site. Inclusion in the Ecourse sections means we believe the material is good and useful in teaching people about Jesus Christ and His Way. The webmaster will always look at new and innovative materials anyone may wish to include on this site. However, the webmaster reserves the right to exclude material in this section.
1.5 About BIBLEeSOURCES
a. BIBLEeSOURCES is a collection of links, articles, archived EPOINTS, sermons on tape, et.al. that we believe would be useful to most Christians. Inclusion is not an endorsement of every part of the site or even most of it, per se. And there is no connection between these links and the Woodlands church of Christ and her leadership.
b. These are merely useful links to help Christians grow.
